Chris "Protein" Leach
Founder, Head Trainer
My name is Chris "Protein" Leach, and I am an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Certified Weight Loss and Nutrition Specialist, champion men's physique competitor, fitness model, and strength athlete. I am dedicated to helping others achieve their dream body and change lives for the better with a science based approach to exercise and nutrition!
I did my first training session with a family member as a senior in high school and continued doing personal training part time throughout my college years. I attended St. Edward's University and upon graduating in December of 2012 I launched my personal training business.
I can relate to my clients goals because I have personal experience with my own fat loss and muscle gaining journey. When I first started working out I was a skinny 140 lbs and I added 40 lbs of muscle to that. Summer of 2012 I found myself an overweight 205 lbs, and decided to lose fat to get ready for a physique show. I lost 30 lbs of fat and as a result have won or placed highly in numerous physique shows, been featured in Ironman Magazine, and become a Naturally Fit Agency fitness model.
My combination of academics, personal experience, and applying what I have learned to clients has given me unique insight on exactly what it takes to lose fat and build muscle efficiently and effectively. My goal as a trainer is to provide and teach my clients everything they need to achieve their goals, such as an individualized, balanced, and science based approach to exercise and nutrition, as well as motivation, information, and support.
This approach allows clients to effectively lose weight, add muscle tone, and feel strong, fit, and confident!
My name is David Lattanzi and I am passionate about helping people become confident about working out, so that they can increase their health, improve their fitness, and get in amazing shape.
I first started working out in the gym in order to gain weight and get better at ice hockey. I found it very intimidating, as I was surrounded by more experienced lifters. In fact, I felt like the smallest guy there. Despite this, I found ways to keep myself motivated and stayed the course, and eventually, it paid off.
Slowly but surely, I became comfortable working with weights and began to see results. This did wonders for my self-confidence, improved my hockey game, and I got into amazing shape. I decided that I wanted to help others do the same, so I attended the National Personal Training Institute of Philadelphia and completed my certification in 2009.
Since then I have worked with hundreds of people on making amazing improvements to their health and fitness. My personal experience, patience, and compassion allows me to effectively help people overcome obstacles and achieve goals like weight loss, toning, and endurance.
I especially love working with people even if they are just getting started or a little intimidated to work out in a gym setting. Helping people overcome their reservations about working out, like I once did, is extremely rewarding and what I love to do.
My name is Alyse and I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer with a specialization in athletic healthcare.
I am also a coach and have worked in the field of strength and conditioning for athletic performance for years. I have been an athlete from age 4 when I fell in love with basketball. Since then I have tried and coached lots of different sports, workouts, and training methods. Through my love of athletic training I also discovered a passion for athletic healthcare.
This passion grew from my own experience with injuries negatively affecting my performance goals. I had aches and pains that originated from postural misalignments and muscular imbalances, which kept me from performing my best and achieving my goals.
I studied and learned how to correct these issues, and when I did the results were amazing! I have had many clients get much better weight loss and toning results, and reach a higher level of fitness once their program was custom tailored to their body and a few smart prehabilitation techniques were utilized.
I love working with individuals who are ready to take the next step towards toning, losing weight, and improving their health, movement, and performance. I am passionate about creating sensible workout and nutrition programs, and then seeing people get amazing results and become healthy, balanced, strong, and confident.
My name is Ryan and I am an ACE and ACSM certified personal trainer. I'm originally from Connecticut, love working out, and I own a Bentley (My dogs name is Bentley).
I got started in health and fitness by playing soccer and practicing Tae Kwon Do in my hometown of Tolland Connecticut. I loved the physical challenges and discipline that learning new skills and sports gave me. I liked it so much, that I decided to pursue a career in it, and in 2016 I obtained a degree in Health Promotion and Wellness Management from Western Connecticut State University.
Despite success in sports, I still felt skinny and wanted to change that. So I decided to put what I was learning to the test and set out to add some muscle. It wasn't easy, but eventually I succeeded. I added 40 pounds of lean mass and achieved the athletic, lean, look I had always wanted.
Upon graduating from college I began teaching group exercise classes, and shortly thereafter started doing one on one personal training. I fell in love with it, because I really enjoy the technical aspects of teaching people to exercise, as well as making connections with clients and seeing them progress.
The amazing physical and mental changes that I see people go through from start to finish are amazing and rewarding, and I'm looking forward to continuing to help people become healthy, strong, and fit.
My name is Jessica Keehan, and I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin (Hook em' horns!). I'm also a native Austinite, and a dog mom to a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Lucy and a Shepard lab mix named Evie. They can play dead, speak, shake hands, and speak fluent English, and even know a little sign language.
Being a personal trainer is my dream job, but I wasn't always in love with the gym. Fitness did not come naturally to me, and I was not athletically inclined as a child. I didn't play any sports until I got to middle school and only did a bit of track and field and eventually dance.
I got into working out thanks to weight I put on in college from too many cookies and a complete lack of exercise. First I turned to slaving away on the cardio machines to try to get back to my old weight, and while I did lose some weight, I was still unhappy with my body, felt like the weakest girl in the room, and was burnt out from spending hours on the elliptical (it was very boring).
I knew things needed to change, but I was too intimidated to venture into the weight room. So I began performing dumbbell exercises in the privacy of my bedroom. As I gained more confidence and knowledge I began taking steps forward. First I ventured into my local apartment gym, and then to a community center gym. I saw changes and felt better and better, and even felt confident enough to take a job in a Marine Corps gym!
I found that I really enjoyed helping people at the gym, and decided to become a personal trainer. Since then, I have studied and experienced everything from bodybuilding to yoga. Fitness is a journey, and I continue to seek change and improvement myself, just as my clients do.
I provide my clients with unconditional support and encouragement with a highly energetic and positive spirit. My mission is to teach people how to exercise with proper movement and improve their nutrition, help build healthy yet sustainable lifestyles, and inspire others to discover their passion for health and fitness.
