Mike Pleshar

CPT  |  Crossfit Athlete   |  Former Firefighter

My name is Mike Pleshar and I am a Crossfit level one trainer. I am originally from the suburbs of Chicago where I grew up playing many sports, but focused most of my effort into ice hockey. From the time I started skating at the age of 4, on the backyard ice rink my dad would build each winter, I fell in love with being active and being physically fit! 


Throughout my athletic career I was introduced to and always doing performance training which included speed, agility, endurance and strength work. When I was in high school is when I really developed a passion for working out and living a healthy lifestyle. After my athletic career was over, training and nutrition took over my main focus. I have experience in several training styles including bodybuilding, powerlifting, sports performance and Crossfit. 


Outside of the gym you can find me doing anything active and outdoors. Some of my favorite hobbies include paddle boarding and hiking. But if the weather isn’t great or it’s been a long week, I also like to relax by playing video games or to watch something good on tv.

I have a primary focus on posture, technique, and safe movements patterns for any and all exercises that you may come across. I want not only your gym performance to improve but also to improve your daily life by helping you move better, stronger and more comfortably. Improving mobility and technique, along with strength and endurance, will have you feeling the best you’ve ever felt!


Fitness has changed my life for the better and I am very excited and fortunate to be able to help others live a healthier and better life! I will help motivate you and create a fun and effective program that will help you achieve your goals, whatever they may be!
