Trainer Tip of the Week: Nordic Hamstring Curls with Tom Bold

For this weeks blog Tom is coming at us with a new trainer tip of the week, and it is on a fantastic exercise that you probably have never heard of. It is called the Nordic Hamstring Curl and and it is great for developing posterior chain strength.

It will help you build your hamstrings and glutes, and can be beneficial for athletes that want to avoid hamstring tears (like sprinters) or anyone that struggles with knee pain.

It requires something for you to position your feet under, like a stable bar. Another option is to have a strong friend hold your feet down as you perform the movement.

In the video below, Tom goes over this exercise and demonstrates how to perform it properly:

To make this exercise easier you can position a resistance band around your chest and secure it to something behind you (if you have stall bars like there are in the video they work great).

To make it harder you can steadily use less and less help from your hands, or even hold a weight.
