I’m so excited to introduce you to the incredible Maha! Her story is a powerful reminder that getting stronger isn’t just about changing how you look, it’s about changing what you can do and how you feel.
When Maha first came to Chris Protein Personal Training, she was struggling with low energy and feeling short of breath when doing things she used to love, like hiking or playing with her kids.
She told us, “I wasn’t happy with how I looked or how I felt. I’d get tired so easily, and I just didn’t feel strong anymore.”

She’d tried walking, but without the strength work, she still felt sluggish. Maha’s transformation started when she realized she couldn’t lift her kids like she used to, and she knew it was time for a change.
She did it by getting consistent with workouts and through smart, personalized changes:
Lifting weights three times a week
Following a balanced nutrition plan focused on higher protein, fiber, and micronutrient intake
Staying active outside the gym with walks and hikes
There was no chasing quick fixes or extremes. Instead, she focused on getting a little bit stronger each week, learning proper form from her awesome trainer, Nancy, and fueling her body the right way.
Those small, steady steps added up fast, and the results speak for themselves. The aches and fatigue faded, and her confidence grew. Maha dropped 16 pounds, built a lot of lean muscle, and can now do three sets of 10 pushups (up from zero!). She even knocked out her first unassisted pull up!
She’s also fitting into clothes she hasn’t worn in years, like her wedding outfit from 10 years ago. Hiking is no longer getting her winded, and around the house, she’s lifting heavy things with confidence (including a fully loaded cooler at her daughter’s birthday party!).
Best of all, she has the energy to play with her kids instead of sitting out because she’s tired. Now she’s stronger, healthier, and happier than she’s been in years.
Watch Maha talk about her results in her own words. Her story is everything we love about training! She has proven, once again, it’s never too late to discover your strength, your confidence, and the joy of feeling like yourself again.
Way to go, Maha! We’re proud of you!
How You Can Learn From Maha’s Transformation
Maha’s story should inspire us all to get fit and maximize our efforts in the gym. What can you learn from her journey? Here are five tips to establish your path to success.
1. Be Patient
When you walk into our gym, you see state-of-the-art machines, free weights and amenities. While it’s easy to feel intimidated, remind yourself to be patient. Take your fitness journey one step and rep at a time. Progress may take weeks and months, but it’ll be worth every drop of sweat.
2. Be Consistent

Once you feel the burn, you’ll want more. Channel that desire and stick to a consistent gym routine. Whether it’s two or five days a week, your commitment sets you up for success.
3. Challenge Yourself

After a few weeks, your initial workout may feel easier. That means you’ve made progress! Now, it’s time to challenge yourself by making the workout more difficult. You can also step outside the gym for additional ways to get active.
Golf: This sport may seem simple, but experts say it requires focus and toughness. Plus, you get plenty of steps on the fairways.
Pickleball: It’s more than a popular trend! Pickleball trains your agility, coordination and endurance.
Soccer: Every day is leg day when you play soccer. The sport involves plenty of cardio and calorie burning.
4. Set Attainable Goals
Maha’s transformation started when she felt sluggish and needed help lifting her kids. What motivates you to show up at the gym? Set realistic goals to give your mind direction and fuel. Our personal training services include personalized exercise plans and goal tracking. We’ll help you crush your goals inside and outside the gym!
5. Get Your Beauty Sleep
Results are much better when you get enough sleep. Your body needs time to recuperate and repair itself after hard workouts. Sleep experts recommend building a consistent sleep routine to help your nightly rest. For example, meditating before bed clears your mind and soothes your psyche. Another tip is to stop having any caffeine after 2pm, or even earlier if you are sensitive to it.
